A Message from the Captain
On the bend of the Forked River since the early 1950s, this old waterfront building first became a gathering place for locals, anglers, travelers, and anyone who felt at home near the water. Back then, the property was part of the bustling Riverside Hotel. When a fire claimed the main hotel, this sturdy riverside structure remained at the helm—now known as The Captain’s Inn.
From that day forward, the Captain’s Inn became a landmark for fresh seafood, good hospitality, and the easy rhythm of life on the river. Over the decades, I’ve seen tides change, boats grow sleeker, recipes evolve, and faces come and go—but the heart of this place has always stayed the same: warm welcomes, lively nights, and the simple joy of dining with a waterfront breeze.
Today, the Captain’s Inn continues to honor its hospitality roots while steering ahead with fresh food and timeless charm. Whether you dock for dinner, join the music at the tiki bar, or simply take in the view, know that you’re always among friends here on the river.
Dock. Dine. Unwind.
